Cupcake the Clown has been performing professionally in Melbourne since 1999, as a character performer and children's entertainer. Cupcake has a wide range of skills gained through more than 15 years spent entertaining children of all ages. This includes 8 great years performing with NSW Northern Rivers Community Youth Circus "Spaghetti Circus". Production roles included working with the children in training and rehearsals; designing and constructing costumes, props, banners and sets; designing and applying stage makeup for the entire cast; through to performing both as a solo Cabaret Comedienne, and as a core member of the Spaghetti Circus Troupe.

Her training includes workshops in Character, Improvisation, and Clowning with noted teachers such as J Hoffman Soto, Megan Jones, Kate Herbert, Nick Papas,Tom Greder, Sue Broadway, Justus Neumann, Richard Lawton, and Al Wunder. Formal qualifications include studying Jazz Music Performance, a Certificate in Theatrical Costuming, and a Diploma of Performing Arts in Small Companies and Community Theatre.

Cupcake the Clown is a member of the Australian Society of Magicians (ASM), and is enjoying the exciting adventure of honing her skills in the art of Magic! She attended the 2009 Adelaide Magic Convention - where she had an absolutely fabulous time and learnt lots of wonderful new tricks!

Cupcake the Clown is the proud winner of the award for "Most Creative Design" and "Best Catwalk Display" at the "Twist it 2008" Balloon Convention, held in October 2008. Congratulations!

She also won the President's Award for the Australian Society of Magicians Annual Closeup Competition, held in October 2007. Hooray!

Cupcake the Clown comes complete with full Public Liability Insurance for all performance activities, and is happy to provide a copy of the Insurance Certificate of Currency, if required as a condition of booking for corporate clients or schools. Please mention this when making your enquiry!
